The Sandlot (1993)

You don’t have to be old enough to recall the 1960s or even necessarily like baseball; if you can remember being a kid, this is nostalgic story will be as enjoyable as it was for an entire generation when it first came out.

I like to think that somewhere, a seasoned little leaguer still takes the shy new kid in town under his wing. “You’re KILLIN’ me, Smalls!” And that the biggest crisis of the summer is helping a friend retrieve a stray ball from the cranky neighbor’s viscious monster of a dog before he gets grounded for life.
